About

Built for California homeowners.

FireReadyHome was built to help California homeowners navigate AB 3074 compliance without getting overwhelmed or oversold. Most people learn about the new Zone 0 requirements from a postcard, an inspection notice, or an insurance non-renewal — all of which arrive on a deadline. We're here to make the next step clear.

Our mission.

Most Zone 0 work is straightforward — but few homeowners know what's required, what's expensive vs. cheap, and which fixes actually matter for insurance. We translate CAL FIRE's requirements into a personalized report, then connect you with vetted professionals only where you actually need them.

We make no money when you do work yourself. We're building partnerships with licensed California mortgage professionals, contractors, and insurance brokers — but the assessment stays free and the recommendation stays honest. If DIY is your best path, that's what we'll tell you.

The partner network.

Contractors

We're vetting California contractors who specialize in Zone 0 work — license, insurance, references, and Zone 0–specific experience. Join the contractor waitlist to be matched.

Financing

HELOC, home equity loan, and cash-out refinance are the common funding paths. We're building a network of California-licensed lenders. Join the financing waitlist.

Insurance

California-specialist insurance brokers who handle FAIR Plan, surplus lines, and re-entry after Zone 0 compliance. Join the insurance waitlist.

What we are not.

FireReadyHome is a private service. We're not affiliated with CAL FIRE, the California Board of Forestry & Fire Protection, or any state or federal agency. Our guidance is based on publicly available CAL FIRE and Board of Forestry materials. For official guidance, always consult those sources directly — see our Resources page for direct links.
